Looking for an affordable way to have your shed removed from your property effectively and in a safe manner? Our service offers Shed Tear down and removal in the Chicago suburbs
An affordable solution for getting your site prepared for a new storage shed while solving the common problems associated with storage shed failures.
Looking for someone to teardown/demo and haul away something other than a storage shed or play set?
A concrete slab is the best base for a shed. Using the slab as the floor, you won’t ever have to worry about the shed floor/frame ever rotting. Where a shed tends to rot first, from the moisture in the ground or possibly something stored that leaks fluids. A shed will stay 10-20 degrees cooler without a wood floor
We pride ourselves in being Chicagoland's most reliable and respectable shed and play set removal service.
How it works:
- Give us a call or send an email providing the following information.
- The address the structure to be torn down is located
- The dimensions (length and width)
- Is the structure wood or metal/aluminum
- Is the structure sitting on a concrete slab or wood floor
- Roof Type Gable or Gambrel (Barn Style)
- Pictures are always great
- We come and cut up what is or was the shed or play set from the ground up and remove it by hand. No big equipment to worry about ruining your property.
- We take all the debri away (some exclusions apply)
What we do is build a box out of pressure treated #1 southern yellow pine, that is rated ground contact. Not all treated material is rated that but what we use is. it also has a factory applied stain and water repellent. We also offer a 100% plastic PVC option, but tends to be 5x more,
We build a box that is 2" bigger than the size of the shed you're getting, that determines the inside dimensions of our box. We then excavate the box to sit partially in the ground. Using steaks we square and level the box. This also accommodates for the grade since there is no perfect flat ground. Our boxes can accommodate up to 14" out of level in the area the shed is to be placed. If more than that, you might ask about our concrete pier option.
We then fill the box with a minimum of 4" of crush gravel (ca#6) depending on the grade of the ground below to get it level in our box. Tamp it all down while filling it and level off with laser technology. Since the gravel is limestone based it will solidify after sometime. In most cases depending on the shed manufacturer we hold the gravel about 1" bellow the top of the box so that the shed floor can sit down on top of the gravel but reassessed inside the box. This eliminates any possibility of animals or critters from getting underneath the shed.
